ARUA MOURNS NYAKUTA...
Arua musician and politician, Innocent Nyakuta (53), who died in Mulago hospital Kampala, has been laid to rest in Onduparaka village in Arua town last Saturday.
Thousands of Arua residents bade farewell to the dreadlocked and Russian trained Lugbara stastician who founded the NewBreed Music Band in Arua in the 1980s.
"He always stopped to greet me whenever he found me by the road-side," said a cripple at the funeral..
Many will remember him for defending the rights of the marginalised when he said: "We too are people."

Ms Annabel Likico Etima graduated at Kyambogo University in February 2007, obtaining a Bachelor of Information Technology and Computing (BITC) Honour's Degree. To celebrate Annabel's achievement, the Etima family organised a grand party in her honour at the Arirang Korean Restaurant, Nakasero - Kampala. The celebration which started with a thanksgiving Mass was graced by the presence of Dr. Adriko Eric, the Chancellor of Kyambogo University as Chief Guest.
